How to Avoid Getting Towed

In several different busy cities, it is easy to not know where you can legally park. Between bus-only parking and timed parking spots, you may find yourself lost and confused as to where you can park your vehicle. Additionally, parking in the wrong space holds quite a few consequences, such as fees and tickets. If you have parked in a fire lane or emergency area, you can be fined even more. To avoid an extra call to the towing company to recover your vehicle, you should brush up on the terminology used in common road signs. Speed-reading and understanding important terms is crucial in finding a legal parking spot.

In this video, we will learn how to properly read a sign and avoid pesky parking tickets.

First of all, you should always read a sign from the top down. If there are multiple signs, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and focus on the middle one. By reading the top sign down to the lowest, you can properly judge which sign applies to your vehicle. When you park in a 2-hour or 1-hour parking spot, ensure that you are out of it by the allotted time. Most of these spaces do not apply to weekends, but double-checking is important to avoiding a ticket.
