Born and raised in Los angeles vw Bugs were a part of the scenery. And when I turned 16 I went right down to the Volkswagen Santa Monica dealership and joined the Volkswagen los angeles club. Many years and two other cars have passed by sine then. But I am feeling the VW love in my heart once again. It is time for me to once again visit that VW dealer Santa Monica has. If they do not offer me the king of all Vw lease specials, then I am heading across town tot he VW dealer Los Angeles has. It is time. Time for me to rejoin the club of happy Los Angelenos who love their cars. The Volkswagen Los Angeles club. There is not membership. There are not meetings. It is a spiritual club comprised of local VW owners that love their cars, take bride int heir cars, and wink knowingly at each other when another member drives by. That is the Volkswagen Los Angeles Club. And you know you are a member when you feel the club pride in your heart. And in your car.
When I am once again a member of the Volkswagen Los Angeles club, I will roll down my windows and drive on the Pacific Coast Highway, smelling the salty sea air and listening to the Beach Boys. When I am once again a member of the Volkswagen Los Angeles club, I will be able to fit into any parking space. When I am once again a member of the Volkswagen Los Angeles club, I will look cute to passers by. Because VW owners are always cute. The car just brings it out in them. Next weekend, it is on.
